What gives a person unexpected courage?

Today me and Erin were out driving and we were in the far left turn lane on University Parkway. Erin had been being strong. She needed to go to the bathroom, but also knew that I wanted to look at some cars. The problem was that the car dealer was on the other side of road. About a 90' angle from us I'd say. I told her to turn left and we could do a U turn and make it back to the car lot I wanted. That's when Erin said, "I don't have that kind of time!" And she cut across every lane of traffic in a blaze of glory and turned into the car lot on the far right side of the road. I couldn't believe it. "I can't believe you did that!" I said. And she replied, "Spence, when I have to go to the bathroom it gives me courage!"

I think that I have finally found that saying that will go on the family crest.

Some self memorialing

As me and my family went to visit the tombs of loved ones past I couldn't help thinking that your tombstone is the last statement that you will make to the world. So that got me thinking as to what I would like for mine when I eventually beat up life so bad that they trade me to the death team. By my calculations that should be 94 years from now. You can mark it and call me on if it am wrong.

What I decided that I would like is a 15 foot statue of me riding a horse w/ a sword in one and a whip in the other. Me and my steed are both looking rather fierce. And beneath us are the cowering and destroyed bodies of the 10 people I hated the most in this life. I think that it should be done in bronze.

As of right now I can't think of anyone that I hate. I'll pledge to work on that. Well, I geuss I really don't like Bob Sagatt. That's not hate yet though.

If anyone would like to make a drawing of what this could look like that would be great. I just may commission you one day. Oh ya, and if anyone can think of any one I hate let me know.

ps.

Can't really explain the Yukon Cornelius pic. Just always though it looked funny when his tongue came out to taste for silver.

And it helps to balance out the somewhat morbid post.

As promised...What I would do if I had no money. And could convince Erin to join me

When the money tree dries. This is what happens

1. Return to the wild and live as the animals do. I think that we would try to link up w/ the apes. Like tarzan. Erin would be my lovely Jane

2. I would try to redevelope my only profitable natural skill...Video games. Still undefeated in Madden 91 and NHL Hockey 92...If I could only find the right tournement.

3. I would take a closer look at my body and see what I had two of. And sell one.

4. I've got pretty big teeth and with the ban on Elephant and Rhino ivory, maybe I could make some money. And live a life of milkshakes there after.

5. We would steal ketchup packets and make the prison time classic alchyhol pruno. And sell it to convicts.

6. Do what I've always done in the past. Sell my body to science.

7. Live in my parents basement...Wait we already do that.

8. Learn to love to eat grubs and pine cones I guess

9. Run off and join the circus

10. Get a job?

*********IMPORTANT**************

If you look closely at the upper left hand corner of the video, at the very beginning, I think that I have filmed the sasquatch.
scratch that off my list of things to do.
Also everyone took one or more accidental dips into that river but me. Probably because I was born in Colorado and am better equipped to handle her rivers.

I went away, and none knew if I would return

I am home. Some thought that I wouldn't be able to handle the 5 hour drive and that I would give and live a life of knick-knack peddling somewhere off of I-70. Well, since I got married I realized that I have to toughen up. I went on a fishing trip w/ my Brothers, even Ben came down from Oregon, to Colorado. This trip was special because, as many of you may or may not know, I was born in Colorady! This was my trip back since I was around 4 months. I'm not going to lie, I expected more progress. Though they were holding something called the Poo Festival in one of their towns. It was fun. I caught my first fish in about 5 years. It is so much easier to catch them w/ a hook than your bare hands. The best part was that my brother Ben thought that he had lost the keys to my cousins van. We searched for about 5 hours and never found them. Found a ride back to town. Had my cousin's wife come and bring more keys. That took her around an hour. We ended up hanging out at the holiday inn. Where we got a room, used their bathroom and then took our money back. Later we ordered pizza to their lobby. They weren't too happy about that. Good news is that my dad had the keys in his front pocket all the time. Don't know why he didn't check there after everyone was told around 10 times to check your pockets. Anyway it was fun, but it is great to be home. And most importantly I think that Colorado is better off for having her native son return.
